MADE IN ITALY. There is a little shop in a tiny village called San Damiano D’Asti in Piedmont. It’s a GIOIELLERIA (Jewelry), family business since four generation.
Giovanna with her husband Teresio own this shop now and every time I go back to Italy I try to go there! “Gioielleria Sorba’ (this is the name of the shop), it’s ‘The Place’ to find a gift for someone special (Mum, for example, bought me there my gift for my 18th birthday, the one for my degree and the one for my 30th, GRAZIE MAMMA)!
Last time I went there, exactly one year ago, I found out that Gio was launching her new collection called “I Sassi” (literally The stone), a gorgeous Idea!
Do you ever try that feeling when you go to for a walk long the ocean and you would like to take home all the stones that are at the beach? I do, all the time!
I have a collection of different size of stones at home and each of them remind me a walk long some beaches around the world.
Well, Gio found the way to transform these beauty gems of the nature in precious jowells that you can wear forever! How romantic!
If you are visiting Piedmont I hardly recommend to go and visit this shop and the Village and buy a real Made in Italy souvenir! Next door there is a fantastic PASTICCERIA (Coffee shop and Patisserie) where you can have a well done cappuccino and one fresh baked croissant sitting at one of the table on the PIAZZA (plaza) like a local!
If you feel like to read a short italian test written by Gio and the story of the shop I have attached it at the end of the post!

1899
